Essay Topics For The East of Eden ReadingThe East of Eden essay topics you have to choose from are varied. Some of them include the story of Adam and Eve, the creation of the world, the fall of man, the fall of the city, the story of Noah, the rescue of the human race, the creation of the rainbow, the story of Abraham, the arrival of the flood, the emergence of evil, the sons of God, the work of man and the new heaven and earth.
Noah is said to be a man who could not control himself. This prompted God to send him out to build an ark for the animals. The ark was actually a boat. Noah was so impressed by the ingenuity of humans that he chose to live on the ark forever. In Genesis, man descended from a serpent and gained the ability to communicate with God. Thus, mankind's ability to create the new heavens and the earth brought about the fall of man. It also introduced sin, the desire for evil and the concept of reward and punishment. The story of Abraham is one of true belief in God. In this story, Abraham, known as the father of the faithful, is forced to flee and he spends three years in the cave. As he was trying to leave the cave, God sent a raven to tell him that he would not be able to pass by the cave. The voice of the raven encouraged Abraham to go ahead and enter the cave. The voice of the raven warned him about God's judgment. Thus, Abraham followed the voice of the raven and entered the cave. He came upon three demons, a goat, a kid and a woman, the mother of Hagar. He was amazed at the vision and asked where they had come from. Hagar told him that she had been taken from her father's place. She also spoke of her time as a captive in Egypt and her time in the Egyptian slave market. The story of Hagar helps to explain the symbolism of the storehouse. The child Hagar was chained in the storehouse and chained by the hand so that she could not move from her position. This came about because of a sin of evil intent on the part of God. Nowadays, we call the storehouse a place for storing clothes or other things, but in biblical times, it was actually a location where a young girl was chained so that she could not leave her place of confinement. It was because of her sinful intent that she became a captive in the storehouse. The use of the storehouse is a spiritual symbol of spiritual captivity.
